English Speaking Union: Shakespeare Competition @ University of Rochester's Laboratory for Laser Energetics
What:  Annual Rochester High School Shakespeare Competition. This is an annual competition where area high school students perform a Shakespeare monologue and sonnet to a panel of judges. The winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip to NYC for the National Shakespeare Competition. Cash prizes are awarded to runners up. The public is welcome. This is a free event. Last year’s winner was a Wilson Magnet High School student.
When:  March 4, 2018 1pm – 4pm
Where:  University of Rochester’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics, 250 East River Road.
Who:  Event held by the Rochester Chapter of the English-Speaking Union; Participants include greater Rochester area high school students.
