The Winter’s Tale Application

This winter, RCP will present The Winter’s Tale at MuCCC, directed by David Kensek. Tech week and performances will run from January 28 – February 11, 2024. Auditions will be held on the following days:

Auditions
Sunday, October 22, 2023 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Monday, October 23, 2023 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Please prepare a 1-2 minute Shakespearean or contemporary monologue. Bring a headshot/resume if possible. You will be asked to read sides from the play individually or in groups.

If you are unable to make auditions or callbacks, we will be accepting video submissions through October 23 at 9:00 pm. Please record in landscape and slate your audition with your name, desired role(s), and what piece you will be performing, and submit using the form at the bottom of the page.

Synopsis
This story of jealousy, redemption, and forgiveness is told from an entirely new and tragic perspective: that of the banished daughter to King Leontes of Sicilia and the late Queen Hermione, named Perdita, who navigates Time, the play’s Chorus, as a means to witness her family’s past and influence her future.

Production Dates
Rehearsals will begin no earlier than [date]. Tech week begins Sunday, January 28. Performances run February 1-10 (dates within this range are subject to change). Strike is on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
